I wanted more with these characters. That is a good thing. This was like an appetizer to get your mouth watering and ready for the real meal. I've had a love of all things Ancient Egypt for a long time, so this little tale scratched that itch nicely. I just hope the author is writing a novel about these characters. The story was resolved a bit too easily or I'd give it five stars. For character and voice, it's definitely a five star tale. Buy it and read it. You'll enjoy it.Product details

The Judgment of Osiris A Short Story eBook Theresa Crater Reviews
In Judgment of Osiris, Theresa Crater has crafted an excellent story– for a short story the character and plot development are excellent. This story grabbed me for the first sentence and held my attention to the last word. I really enjoy well-crafted speculative fiction that involves ancient Egypt. I received a copy in an author promotion and chose to provide this review.
My only complaint about this is that it was not a full length novel ) Theresa always does a wonderful job of weaving the characters together and giving such a feel for Egypt when she writes about it! I didn't want to put the story down once I started it and It was a real page turner!
Theresa Crater's The Judgment of Osiris A Short Story Is a quick glimpse into the gods of ancient Egypt through the eyes of a tour guide while leading a meditation in the pyramid King's Chamber. As good as other Crater books which will make the reader want to quickly pick up one of her full length novels.
This was a very well written short story with an original plot, but honestly, I had some difficulty following the plot. Perhaps if I had been more astute about the ancient Egyptian gods pantheon it would have been easier. This was my first exposure to this author, so I will try something else and see how it goes.
This story involves the meshing of ancient history and the modern mind. It is quite short and little is given to character develpement. The transitions between then and now are blurry and difficult to follow. The plotline also suffers and feels forced and flat.
I give it 2 stars, instead of 1, only because this is not what I wanted or expected in this book, and therefore may have been a bit more critical than if I actually enjoyed the material. I think that I could have if it didn't feel so rushed.
I have always loved old stories and ancient tales and enjoy how some authors can bring them to life today. Theresa does just that in this story that blends ancient Egypt with modern times.
I am a lover and avid reader of historical fiction, mythology, and sci fi/fantasy, and I have a strong affinity to Egypt. I also appreciate well-crafted characters and stories. Theresa Crater manages to do an excellent job with all of these elements. Terrific read!
